Inspira STEAM Academy is a free, public, state-chartered Kindergarten - 5th Grade school located in Las Cruces, NM. Enrollment is lottery-based.

As we get closer to our opening year, we invite families interested in Kindergarten and 1st grade for the 2026–27 school year to stay connected and learn more about our exciting launch!

Inspira STEAM Academy is a free, public K–5 school in Las Cruces that combines bilingual education with a focus on Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM).

Our 80/20 bilingual program helps students develop strong skills in Spanish and English while learning through hands-on, inquiry-based projects that spark creativity and critical thinking.

As we begin our journey to open Inspira, the students who will be in Kindergarten and 1st grade will be the first to explore and shape our innovative learning community, helping to set the tone for future classes.

At Inspira, curiosity leads the way — preparing students to become confident, future-ready bilingual leaders.

By the time students reach 5th grade at Inspira STEAM Academy, they will be confident bilingual learners, fluent in both Spanish and English. Our 80/20 bilingual program, through which students reach a balanced 50/50 proficiency in both languages by 5th grade, combined with hands-on STEAM learning and inquiry-based projects, ensures that students not only master two languages but also develop critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
